We are thrilled to share our latest on-site machining case, situated at the Dalian Petrochemical Base. After prolonged service, the electric motor base underwent deformation, causing misalignment between the motor shaft and the load shaft, failing to meet installation requirements. We needed to re-machine the motor base, ensuring that all four mounting surfaces were level, with a flatness of ≤0.05mm. The machining area formed a rectangular shape, with diagonal dimensions of 1600mm.

To tackle this challenge, we utilized the robust FI60E Flange Facing Machine and successfully completed the project with all inspections passing on the first attempt. We engineered a special mounting plate, adjusting it first before evenly welding it onto the workpiece. Subsequently, we mounted the Flange Facing Machine onto the baseplate, placing a level on the facing arm and making adjustments to ensure the facing arm remained level.
